Juniper Retirement

Our Process

Planning, education, and time, starting with the Financial Dashboard Plan

Financial stress can trigger a very old, primal reaction. The same fear response our ancestors felt when a predator was close shows up today with a job change, a divorce, or a decision we wish we’d made differently. We’ve all felt it.

Our process is built to help you face that fear from three directions.

Three ways we help you face financial worry – planning, education, and time

Planning.

Comprehensive financial planning is the core of what we do. The Financial Dashboard Plan helps you prepare for retirement and other life changes.

Education.

We believe investors do better at making decisions when they understand the economic environment their portfolios sit in, and when they’re engaged alongside their advisor.

Time.

Like our ancestors, we believe in outrunning the predator over time. Short-term wins get the attention, but most of our clients are investing for the long run.

From a first phone call to a plan you can act on

Here’s how getting started with the Financial Dashboard Plan works.

1.

A short phone call to gather the basics

We start with a brief call to collect some basic information. Afterward, we send you a list of documents we’d like to see at our first meeting.

2.

Meeting one – getting acquainted, at no cost to you

The first meeting is at no cost to you. We get to know each other, go over your financial documents, and talk about your goals. We’ll show you how the Financial Dashboard Plan works. If you like what you see, we move to the next step.

3.

Your plan, delivered for review

We deliver your Financial Dashboard Plan so you can look it over, and invite you back for a second meeting to discuss it.

4.

Meeting two – talking through your options

We walk through the options in your plan and work with you on a strategy aimed at your retirement goals. We also review your current portfolio, discuss the economic environment, and go over our recommendations.

5.

Meeting three – putting the plan in place, if you choose to

If you decide to move forward and become an investment client, this is where we implement the investment advice. We’ll complete the paperwork together and talk through how your portfolio and any other planning recommendations will be put in place.

6.

After that – ongoing updates, education, and monitoring

We stay with you over time. We keep your plan up to date, share education when it’s timely, and monitor your investments going forward.
